Morgan Field

Managing Attorney 225-341-5270

Biography

Morgan Field is the managing attorney of Field Law in Baton Rouge, where he focuses his practice on Louisiana estate planning, successions, and succession litigation. He helps individuals and families plan ahead with wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate-planning tools designed to protect assets, avoid unnecessary conflict, and make future transitions easier. He also represents clients in uncontested and contested succession proceedings throughout Louisiana.

Because Louisiana succession law is highly specialized, Morgan brings a focused and practical approach to each matter. He works with clients to create clear, effective plans during life and to resolve inheritance, estate, and property issues after death. Whether a client needs a simple will, a trust-based plan, or representation in a disputed succession, his goal is the same – to give straightforward advice, reduce confusion, and move matters forward efficiently.

Morgan has also handled significant litigation and appellate matters involving succession and estate disputes. His representative results include a Louisiana Supreme Court victory in In re: The Succession of Diana Bartlett Morgan, in which the Court reversed in a succession matter involving the proof of a lost notarial testament. He also obtained a reversal and remand in Estate of Cecile Coleman Johnson v. Allison Williams in the Louisiana First Circuit. In other First Circuit matters, he represented the appellee in Succession of Hezekiah Brown, Jr., which was affirmed, and represented the defendants-appellees in Derrick Jerome Allen v. Shirley Mae Miles Brown & Joy Brown White, which was also affirmed.

A Louisiana attorney since 2012, Morgan earned his J.D. from LSU Law after attending Birmingham-Southern College. He is proud to serve clients throughout Louisiana from Field Law’s Baton Rouge office.
